Jane Perry - Centre Manger

I was recruited in May 2007 to set up, open and manage The Haven Sure Start Children's Centre's. Prior to that I have worked with children and their families for 12 years in a number of setting's including Children's Holiday Rep, Professional Nanny, Play Therapist, Writing Family Support / Play columns for Prima Baby Magazine and Child Protection work in a Front Line Social Care Team.
I am also a parent to two boys.
Charlotte Lowes - Centre Coordinator
I was recruited in August 2010, to assist the Centre Manager with the general managing of our Children's Centres. Previously I have worked as a Professional Nanny, Senior Nursery and Pre School Practitioner and I have also worked with children and their families for another Children's Centre before I joined the Haven team. I have recently graduated from university, specialising in children's creativity, transitions and attachments, also including emotional and social development. I really enjoy working with children and their families. I look forward to helping and supporting children and their families on a much larger scale.
Karen Finnegan - Family Support Outreach Worker
I joined the Haven Children's Centre team in September 2010. My previous role was in a local primary school working as a teaching assistant in reception class. I have spent the last thirteen years working in a variety of educational roles from playgroup assistant to special educational needs support and finally as a teaching assistant. Throughout this time I have worked with a wide age range of children from Playschool to Nursery and throughout the majority of the primary education phase. I have personally enjoyed supporting a huge number of children and their families and will put to good use the valuable knowledge and experience I have gained from this, along with my own personal experience as mother of two children and my recently achieved first class honours degree in Early Years Teaching to support local families in my role as an Outreach Family Support Worker here at the Haven.
Michelle - Information Officer
I joined the Haven team in September 2010, my previous roles have been mainly Customer and People focused with some volunteering work in the local schools. I am really enjoying my role as Information Officer as it is very varied and I get to work and support local families by providing them with information that might help make life a little bit easier.
I have lived locally for all of my adolescent life and attended the local schools; I now have two children myself and think that the Sure Start Children's Centres offer great facilities and services for everyone with children.
Shirley Wales - Family Support Outreach Worker

I joined the team at the Haven Children's Centre in January 2009. My previous role was Nursery Manager at a local nursery school. I had worked at the school for over twelve years and had managed the nursery for my final three years. I really enjoy working with children and getting to know their families. My new role as Family Support Worker gives me the opportunity to offer advice and help to families in the local area.
I am married and have three children of my own.
